Fastmail Pricing 2026: Business Plans, Longer Terms, and What 50 Users Pay

Fastmail is a paid email service with no ads, run by a company that has sold mail for years, and its business pricing is simple once you see that you pay per user and can mix plans in one account. This guide lists the three business plans, what each one leaves out, and what 10, 50 and 300 users pay per year. Prices are US list prices, tax excluded, from Fastmail's pricing page and help center, checked on 6 November 2026.

How much does Fastmail cost?

Fastmail Business costs $3 per user per month for Basic, $5 for Standard and $9 for Professional when paid for 12 months. Paid month to month the same plans cost $4, $6 and $10. Standard and Professional can also be paid for 24 or 36 months at a lower monthly rate (Fastmail pricing).

What a team pays per year

Multiply the per-user price by 12 months and by the number of users. Paid for 12 months:

UsersBasicStandardProfessional
10$360$600$1,080
50$1,800$3,000$5,400
300$10,800$18,000$32,400

Paid month to month, the same teams pay $480, $720 and $1,200 at 10 users, $2,400, $3,600 and $6,000 at 50 users, and $14,400, $21,600 and $36,000 at 300 users.

Longer terms are cheaper

Fastmail lowers the monthly rate when you pay ahead. Standard costs $4.75 per user per month on a 24-month term ($114 per user) and $4.67 on 36 months ($168). Professional costs $8.55 on 24 months ($205.20) and $8.40 on 36 months ($302.40). For 50 Standard users, 36 months costs $8,400 in one go instead of $9,000 over three years at the 12-month rate.

Which plan do you need?

  • Basic: for people who only need a mailbox and will use Fastmail's own apps.
  • Standard: the realistic choice for most companies, because it is the cheapest plan with custom-domain addresses and support for Outlook or iPhone Mail.
  • Professional: for people who need more storage or the retention archive, such as finance or legal staff.

Fastmail against the other options

At 50 users on a 12-month term, Fastmail Standard costs $3,000 a year. Zoho Mail lists $600 to $2,400 for the same headcount (Zoho Mail pricing guide), and Google Workspace Business Starter costs $4,200 (Google Workspace pricing guide). Fastmail sits in the middle on price and is the one with the clearest per-user plans and no bundled office suite to pay for. If you must keep mail on your own servers, the numbers change again: see the self-hosted case study, the three-way comparison in FanMail vs Google Workspace vs Zoho Mail, and the email cost calculator.
